A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Jimmy Burke. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was born July 17, 1937 in Linden., VA daughter of the late Gallie Chadwell and Viola Figgins Fletcher. She was a graduate of Marshall High School and retired after 30 years of dedicated service from Local #400 where she worked as a deli manager for A&P, Farmer Jack and Superfresh grocery stores. Mrs. Williams was a member of Chester Gap Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband Walter “ Bobby” Williams of Chester Gap; three children Richard Gordon and his wife Linda of Front Royal, Rodney Williams and wife Cathy of Browntown, and Tammy Walter of Front Royal; three brothers Gallie “Tuttie” Chadwell, Jr. and his wife Rose of Waynesboro, PA, Edward Fletcher and wife Nancy of Front Royal, and Robert Fletcher of Front Royal; three sisters Ann Jenkins of Front Royal and Eleanor Spiker and husband Donnie of Front Royal and Betty Riley and her husband Richard of Raleigh, NC; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her step-father Jim Fletcher; two brothers Richard Chadwell and Jimmy Fletcher; and one sister Mary Sealock.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Williams, Jim Williams, Jr., Richard Gordon, Jr., Hunter Williams, Chuckie Johnson, and Timmy Sealock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Williams, Sr., Ricky Mathews, Ken Mathews, and Timmy Williams.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
