Betty Ann Turpin, 73, of Front Royal died Friday, April 17, 2015, in her home.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd, at 6:00 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church in Front Royal conducted by Pastor Hollis Hillman.
Mrs. Turpin was born December 25, 1941, in The Plains, Virginia, daughter of the late Ackley and Evelyn Canard Williams. She was a retired secretary. She was married to the late Tommy Turpin.
She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and watch games shows, especially Family Feud. She loved her faithful companion, her dog Cody.
Surviving are two daughters Brenda L. Gardner of Front Royal and Barbara Sprouse (Michael) of Warrenton; a son Richard Elam (Shirley) of Iva, South Carolina; a step-son Larry Turpin of Dale City; a step-daughter Barbara Freisen (Gary) of Wichita, Kansas; three brothers Frankie, Davis, and Pete Williams; a sister Linda Williams; 18 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a good friend, her “sister Mary”, Betty Sutton.
She was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Elam; a step-son Richard Turpin; and a sister Nancy Williams.
Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home.
