Clyde George Moxley, II

Clyde George Moxley, II, 88, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 1, 2018 at 11 AM at Living Water Christian Church, 72 N. Lake Ave., Front Royal.

Mr. Moxley was born on April 10, 1929 in Patton, Pennsylvania to the late Clyde Moxley, Sr. and Sue Thomas Moxley. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Moxley; sister, Sue Harris and grandson, Steve Moxley.

He was a Korean War Veteran of the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952 serving on the Floyd B. Parks Destroyer. Most of his career was spent as a construction superintendent in the DC area. He also formerly owned and operated Mr. M’s Market in Front Royal from 1981 to 1992. He enjoyed hunting and golfing.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Beverly Moxley of Front Royal; brother, James T. Moxley (Rose); four sons, Dr. Clyde Moxley (Dr. Nancy Joseph) of Clarksburg, West Virginia, Steven T. Moxley (Susan Reed) of Front Royal, Richard Moxley (Dori) of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Dale Moxley (Robin) of Front Royal; daughter, Tammy Markham (Randy) of Middletown, Virginia; three step daughters, Teresa Witmer of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Missy Waite of Marshall, Michigan and Elaina Hoffman of Grand Rapids, Michigan; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
