Cody was born June 24, 1989 in Winchester, VA, the son of Ronnie Chadwell and Julie Cooper Chadwell. He graduated from Sherando High School in 2007. He was employed at Equinix in Ashburn, VA.
The loss of Cody, or “Code-man” is felt by so many in his family and circle of friends. The Facebook posts left on his page talk about what he gave to so many. They speak of how he was the place they turned to when they were struggling. They tell of his strength and how the compassion that came from his own battles helped them deal with the problems they faced. They talk about how his constant humor took away their darkness and hurt and helped them stay on track to better manage their lives. He was a dependable and understanding friend to those who knew him.
Cody loved cars and everything about them. He was willing to stop what he was doing to go and help someone having engine trouble or even a flat tire. He built and customized his own cars and loved to create something unique and distinctive. Those who knew him remember he also loved his dog “Diesel”.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Gregory O. Orndorff II, Melissa Budd, nephew Dominic, his sister Angel Chadwell Williams, and grandmother, Ann Cooper, all of Front Royal, VA along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
