David Allen Riley, Sr. 55, of Front Royal, died Saturday, September 29, 2018, at his home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Bentonville Baptist Church conducted by The Rev. Dr. C. Wayne Woodard. Burial will follow in Bentonville Cemetery.
David was born April 14, 1963, in Virginia, son of the late Ervin R. and Blanch R. Day. He was a member of the Bentonville Baptist Church and former member of the Front Royal Volunteer Fire Department. He retired from the Town of Front Royal.
He is survived by two sons David Allen Riley, Jr, (Erica) of Front Royal and Christopher Michael Riley (Kayla) of Luray; grandson Braxton Riley; granddaughter Monroe Riley; brother William Donald Riley; four sisters Barbara Jane Riley, Shirley Ann Henry, Mary Catherine Riley, and Vicky Lynn Pineda (Edward). Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Ruth Hammond.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.
Pallbearers will be Chris Deavers, Edward Pineda, Cody Mathews, Dusty Henry, Donald Watkins, Will Deavers, Wesley Deavers, and Lance Ford.
Honorary Pallbearers will be George Foster, Jr, Jessica Mathews, Patty Watkins, Isaac Thompson, Kevin Ricker, Larry Christian, Billy Sears, and Charles Natt.
