Dora L. Conrad Balderson

Dora L. Conrad Balderson, 75, of Manassas, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, January 09, 2019 at the Adler Center for Caring in Aldie, Virginia.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia with Rev. Terry Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Balderson was born on June 20, 1943 in Front Royal to the late Joseph F. and Virginia Dodson Wines. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Oakley Conrad; two sisters, Joyce Loy and June Heflin and two brothers, Daniel L. Wines Sr. and Wayne Wines. She was a member of Front Royal United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, William M. Balderson Jr.; three sons, William M. Balderson III (Laura), Gregory Allen Conrad Sr. (Paula) and Michael Edward Conrad (Ellen); three daughters, Teela R. Suggs (Thomas), Tarron R. Melton (Dale Waters) and Kathy Falsey; sister, Wanda Darr; two sisters-in-law, Carol Wines and Glenda Wines; eleven grandchildren, Gregory A. Jr., Megan R., Danielle R., Matthew B., Rachel E., William O., Lydia V., Deanna P., Kevin L. Jr., Courtney and Christopher; seven great grandchildren, Chloe, Clair, Olivia, Nathan, Emily, Gregory III and Teddy and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Conrad Jr., William Conrad, Kevin Melton Jr., Larry Darr Jr., Scott Smith and Robbie Creekmur.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Front Royal United Methodist, 1 West Main Street, Front Royal.

    It is hard to find the words to express how sorry I am for your loss. Your mom was a lovely lady and I know you will miss her very much. Prayers for comfort for you and your family.

    A bright light has gone from our presence. Dora lit up a room just be being in it. She was such a wonderful person and joy to spend time with. Our deepest sympathy to the family from the Balderson family in Warsaw.

      Thank You. Dora had a special love for all the Balderson’s she had the pleasure to meet. She looked forward to seeing each of you at our Reunions and hearing from you all during the year. She is at peace now and will be missed by so many. Thank You again,Bill.
