Edward Lee “Eddie” Deavers, Sr., 69, of Bentonville, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018, in his home.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 1st at the Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors.
Eddie was born on March 18, 1948, in the old Johnson Nursing Home in Front Royal, son of the late Clarence Edward Deavers and Mary Madeline Foster Deavers. He retired after many dedicated years of service with Ted Britt Mazda in Fairfax.
Surviving are his devoted wife of forty-five years Cathy Seal Deavers; one son Edward Lee “Eddie” “Honk” Deavers and wife Janet of Front Royal; one daughter Heather Deavers of Bentonville; three brothers Larry “Buster” Deavers of Stephens City, Gary “Pee Wee” Deavers of Luray, Clarence “Stinker” Deavers of Front Royal; two sisters Darlene Downs of Stephens City and Juanita Deavers Cubbage of Luray; four grandchildren Tyler McKahan, Naomi Grace Deavers, Rachel Elizabeth Deavers and Jacob Edward Deavers.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Judy Ann Seal and one granddaughter Gracie Rose Deavers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28th at Maddox Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
