Judy Arlene Derflinger, 69, of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 6, 2015.
Judy was born in Star Tannery, Virginia, on September 30, 1945, a daughter of the late Gordon G. and Helen M. Williams Shell.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving and devoted husband, Roger L. Derflinger, Sr.; her children Loretta Feaster (Jeff Smith), Roger Derflinger, Jr. (Valery), and Randy Derflinger; and three grandchildren, Cody Feaster, Parker Derflinger, and Christina Wells. She is also survived by one sister, Shirley Hamman, and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was a devoted wife and mom who taught her children about strong values, the importance of family, hard work, forgiveness, and love. She loved angels, had a remarkable green thumb, and anyone who ever visited her home never left hungry.
The family will receive friends at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
