Kimberly Campbell Keeney

Kimberly Campbell Keeney, 50, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away Friday evening, May 18, 2018 at the Summersville Regional Medical Center in Summersville, West Virginia.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Marlow Heights Baptist Church in Front Royal, Virginia with Pastor Jim Bunce and Rev. Larry Lawhon. On Thursday May 24 the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Minnie Bell Missionary Baptist Church in Corliss, West Virginia a funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with family friend Herbie Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Rainelle, West Virginia where she will be laid beside her beloved grandparents.

Kimberly was born on June 13, 1967, in Warrenton, Virginia daughter of Richard “Dick” Campbell and Marie Rose Campbell of Front Royal, Virginia. She graduated from Osbourn Park High School in Manassas, Virginia in 1985 and from Northern Virginia Community College School of Nursing in 1991. She worked 24 years as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse.

Surviving with her parents are her husband Daniel R. Keeney; two sons Adam Ball of Front Royal and Petty Officer 2nd Class Christopher Ball, stationed on the air craft carrier, USS George H.W. Bush; one daughter Lara Ball of Front Royal; one brother Gregory S. Campbell of Nokesville, Virginia; step-son Ryan Keeney of Shinston, West Virginia and a special cousin Melinda (John) Smailes of Rainelle West Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 22 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Marlow Baptist Church in Front Royal, Virginia.

There will be a time of food and fellowship following the service in Corliss, West Virginia at the home of Melinda Smailes.

Arrangements locally are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal and Dan Smathers Funeral Chapel in Rainelle, West Virginia. Condolences may be sent to the family at

    So sorry for your loss! You are in my thoughts and prayers.
    Although I only knew Kim for a short time, we formed a true connection and friendship! I will always remember her as ” My sister from another mother” and one of my favorite patients.
    I will always carry her in my heart.
