Lamont and Ann and his family and the people who worked for him at Springtime Garden Center — My heart breaks for you. Lamont was such a good, honest, hard working man who took the time to know everyone he met. As soon as he met you, he never forgot a face. No matter where you were in town, he would stop and talk to you. His family always did my landscaping and planted over 40 trees in my yard in the 13 years I have lived here in Front Royal. Every time he would see me, he would ask how my trees were doing. I will miss his advice. Every time I called with a question, no matter how busy he was, he would stop his work and give me guidance. He will be missed.

Lamont will be greatly missed at this home. He became a friend when I moved here, and at my Mom’s insistance planted 14 trees in my yard. He stayed to chat and invite me to church, and always remembered to greet me there. He and Ann were among my first friends in Front Royal, and he will bring a smile to all who think of him from this day forward. Rest in Peace, my friend!

Ann, Colby and your entire family: you are in our prayers during this sad time. Lamont was such a caring, hard working man with a heart even larger than his considerable stature. Never too busy to speak a kind word or give some much appreciated advice. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May the Lord put his arms around you and comfort you, Ann, Colby and all.

Ann and Colby and family, our hearts are breaking for you. Lamont was a wonderful man as I am sure you know. He came to our house 22 years ago and suggested the trees and flowers for our front yard. We have been steady customers ever since. He was always helpful. We sure will miss him. To Ann, Colby, and All of Lamont’s Family, our hearts are with you. Springtime Nursery was such a happy discovery when we moved to this area six years ago. LaMont helped David put in so many wonderful trees and shrubs on our property and shared so much valuable information. Lamont, your legacy lives on in the land all around Front Royal. May you rest in peace.
