Mazie Mae Henry McIntyre, 93, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away from this life on earth to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven, on Saturday, February 3, 2018, in the home of her loving daughter in the arms of her beloved grandson, Dylan.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Elder Gary Utz and Elder Forest Atwood. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M.. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mazie was born on May 13, 1924, in Limeton, Virginia, daughter of the late Thomas Samuel and Ethel Mae Creel Henry. She was a member of Goose Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Markham, Virginia. She worked in the spinning department at Avtex until meeting and marrying her loving husband, Thomas Allen McIntyre, Sr. They were married for 51 years. They made their home together in Front Royal, Virginia. Mazie became a stay at home mother and homemaker to her three children. She had a special love for children and soon began babysitting in her home for many children in the area. She touched the lives of many and was a great blessing to all who knew her.
She is survived by one son T.A. “Mac” McIntyre, Jr.; one daughter Janet Mae McIntyre Hill; seven grandchildren Dylan Thomas Hill, Thomas Allen McIntyre, III (Mac), Amber Printz-Foster, Kevin Lee McIntyre, Ashton Michael Printz, Adam Derrick Printz and Andrew Logan Printz; six great-grandchildren Adiana Printz, Hunter McIntyre, Mackenzie McIntyre, Logan McIntyre, Bryson Atkins and Kamden McIntyre.
Mazie was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Allen McIntyre, Sr.; daughter Shirley Ann Printz; sisters Kathleen Smedley, Gracie McIntyre, Anis Vaught, Evelyn Clairus, Geneva Poulson and Violet Rider; three brothers Harrison Henry, William Henry, and her twin brother Amos Henry.
Pallbearers will be her six grandsons Dylan Thomas Hill, Thomas Allen McIntyre, III (Mac), Kevin Lee McIntyre, Andrew Logan Printz, Adam Derrick Printz and Ashton Michael Printz.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kent Printz, Ronnie McIntyre, Wayne Smedley, Michael Cressel and Sam Baggarly.
