A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 1 PM to 5 PM at his home.
Mr. Perko was born on June 15, 1929 in West Frankfort, Illinois to the late Andrew Perko and Nina Hays Perko. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Donna Matthews.
He worked as a real estate appraiser and in his younger days he was a police officer in Madison, Wisconsin and in Phoenix, Arizona. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a Distinguished Life Member of the NRA, a Life Member of the American Legion and a long-time member of The Loyal Order of the Moose.
Survivors include his two sons, Mark A. Perko (Pricilla) of Front Royal and David R. Perko (Alicia) of Linden, Virginia; two brothers, Charles Perko of Manassas, Virginia and Larry Perko of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Darlene Sweeney of Chicago, Illinois; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
