Walter A. Janaro Jr., 83, of Arlington, Virginia, Passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Greenfield Reflections in Strasburg, Virginia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Front Royal with Father Cozzi officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mr. Janaro was born on April 6, 1935 in New York City, New York, to the late Walter A. Sr. and Lucy Colasuonno Janaro. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Janaro and sister, Rosemary Moyik.
He was a parishioner of Saint Thomas More Cathedral in Arlington and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joan Mary Casella Janaro of Arlington; Two sons, Walter A. Janaro III and John Janaro (Eileen) both of Front Royal, Virginia and five grandchildren, John Paul, Agnese, Lucia, Teresa and Josefina.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 8, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main St. Front Royal.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Christendom College or John the XXIII Montessori School.
