Hugh Joseph “Joe” Henry Jr., 88, of Browntown, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Shenandoah Senior Living.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date,

Mr. Henry was born on May 18, 1935 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Hugh Henry Sr. and Bertha Leu Harper.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Devlin Henry.  He was the former owner of H.J. Plastering and Stucco.  He moved to Browntown and fell in love with the area.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his daughter, Barbara S. Henry; a friend who was like a son, Joe Marcus; close friends, Barbara Marcus and Darlene Marcus Mitchell and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
