Charles Bradley Pullen, 87, life time resident of Chester Gap, Virginia, left this life suddenly on Monday, March 4, 2023 in Front Royal, Virginia.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12 at 3:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Willis Chapel Cemetery in Huntly.

Bradley was born May 20, 1936 in Chester Gap, Virginia, son of the late Dudley Q. and Julia Virginia Dulin Pullen.

He worked at the Old Virginia Packing Company from the late 1950’s until the closing of the plant. Bradley loved Bluegrass music, playing horse shoes, and trying to pick the banjo. He and Matt Dillion were on first name bases.

Surviving are four sisters, Ruby Reid and husband Stanley of Culpeper, Virginia, Elsie Wines and husband Jerry of Front Royal, Sue Taylor of Front Royal, and Sandra Kay Pullen of Chester Gap; a special brother-in-law and close friend, Ronald Morris of Chester Gap; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Frank, and Billy Pullen; and four sisters, Eleanor Ryan, Ann Williams, Gracie Himes, and Barbara Morris.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Morris, Butch Reid, Donnie Irwin, Gary Moore, John Grigsby, and Mark Williams.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, March 12 at the funeral home.
