June Bernadette Dolores Rodefer, 86, of Strasburg, died Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Evergreen Health and Rehab in Winchester.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 1, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Front Royal conducted by The Rev. Kevin Beres. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Miss Rodefer was born July 5, 1929, in Martinsburg, daughter of William Webster and Inez Cecelia Ramsburg Rodefer. She attended Immaculata College in Malvern, Pennsylvania where she received her B. A. Degree in English and her Master’s Degree in Journalism. She taught Latin and English at Bishop Egan High School in Levittown, Pennsylvania. She was also a nun for a number of years.

Miss Rodefer is survived by a very special friend Betty VanGilder.
