Doris Ann Pearson Myers, 82, of Waldorf, Maryland, died Friday, November 27, 2015, at Amerisist in Front Royal, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, conducted by Samuel Campbell. Inurnment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Myers was born May 8, 1933, in Front Royal, daughter of the late William F. and Alice Boyer Pearson.
She was a retired supervisor for the C & P Telephone Company. She was a member of the Moose and Elks Lodges in Maryland. She was an avid Redskins fan.
Surviving are five sisters Nancy McMinis, Evelyn Licklider, Kay Dennison, Alice Farrell, and Sue Krause and a number of nieces and nephews including two special nieces Carla Stanley and Crystal Williamson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Henry Myers and a brother William “Freddie” Pearson.
Mrs. Myers will be remembered as a loving sister who was very generous and kind to everyone. She enjoyed giving to others. Though she had no children of her own she loved children. She also loved her dogs Romeo and Sam and her black cat.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
