Vicki was a wonderful person. I enjoy her greatly the time I spent caring for her. She will be missed by many.
Vickie, even though distance separated us. We your cousins Eugene, Karen and myself loved you very much. You have now entered your eternal home and reunited with your parents, Larry and grandparents. May you now REST IN PEACE dear cousin. Gwynne Williams Waybright
Dougie and Family, I am so very sorry about “Aunt” Vicki. I have so very many fond memories of her from childhood into adulthood – Visits at Grandma Scott’s, dinners, all of us kids spending time together while they gossiped, going to the store, and at mom’s (Cookie.) She had a smile that could light up a room. I know I’ll miss see it and her. I know Scottie will miss her, too. I’ll keep you all in my thoughts. Sending hugs.
Vickie was highly regarded by her stepfather, James Smith, who helped care for her in her latter years. She also loved him. Her friend brought her to Florida to see her stepfather two years ago and enjoyed their time together with Mary Busbee, Jim’s sister. I loved Vickie and enjoyed the time we all spent together from time to time. We corresponded with Vickie very often. She will be fondly missed while in the arms of Jesus. Mary Busbee
Dear Dougie and Michelle,
I was heartbroken to hear the news of Aunt Vickie. She was by far my favorite Aunt. I loved her dearly and will miss her tremendously. You could always tell when she was at Grandma’s house, her laughter filled the room. Dougie and I always played together kids when everyone was over at Grandma’s for whichever holiday dinner, Dougie and I were like best friends as I recall. I loved going over to Winchester and helping Aunt Vickie at the store (Greenwood Grocery). I worked off (mostly hung out) a lot of RC cola’s and Moonpies. I have many fond memories of Aunt Vickie that will always stay close to my heart. She called me toad, she told me she named me that as a baby, mostly because when I was born she said I looked like a toad, she always could make me laugh. So many wonderful memories. She gave me some advice the day I graduated from High School, her and I took a walk alone together, I think I’ll keep that one to myself. Dougie and Michelle my heart and prayers are with you both and your families. All my Love,
Scottie
Hello Mom,
I Love You and miss you and I think of you all the time.I think about my Dad and PawPaw and Grandma.Love You Mom
From your daughter Michelle.
To Vickie’s Family,
I met her through her Mother who her and her 2 sisters with spouses all sat on same bench with me together at church. I came to know Mary and just fell in love with her.
When she took very ill I would stop by after church on Sundays and talk with her for hours.
After her Mom’s passing her dad Jim moved to Florida and kept in touch.
Making sure Vickie had the supplies she may need.
I would go to Edinburg and pick her up and keep her for a week at a time.
I so much enjoyed this beautiful family and all will be dearly missed.
How great a reunion it will be when they all meet again in heaven.
God Bless.
Love, Brenda Gregg
