Fran’s most special moments were when family gathered for the holidays with her six grandchildren, Amy Bucher of Lawrenceburg, KY, Marcy Marshall of Madison, VA, James Longmire of Delaplane, VA, Joey Longmire of Front Royal, VA, Brandy Anderson of Colonial Beach, VA, and Mandy Melody of Kwajalein Island; 13 great-grandchildren, Camden Marshall, Alayna Marshall, Hunter Marshall, Jacob Bucher, Emma Bucher, Taylor Longmire, Jaden Longmire, Kaelie Anderson, Shelby Anderson, Nathan Melody, Michael Melody, Rachel Melody, and JP Melody; and two great-great-grandchildren, Ady Platt and Aubrey Platt.

Fran’s favorite pastimes were her gardening, baking, knitting and spending time with friends and of course her cat, FEFE.  You would always find Fran early in the morning tending to her flowers.  She always enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and talking about her world travels and she always had many stories to tell and share her experiences through her journey of life. She loved working as a hostess at many hotel restaurants and meeting people.

Fran will be dearly missed by her family and all the friends she made.  She was a deeply caring and kind hearted person and always wanting to help people, including strangers she met on the street.

Mom, you are in a better and peaceful time now.  We will always love and miss you.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.

The family kindly requests that any contributions in honor of Fran be made to the Humane Society of Warren County.

Your green thumb showed up everywhere. Inside or out your home wherever you lived was beautiful. Your love for French cheese and good food were always around. You were at your happiest moments when you could entertain. Momma your crab dip and your cookies like most things were delicious. Thanks for loving us and giving your all. Till we meet you again in heaven we will hold your memories deep in our heart. Hugs When we hear a bird near by we will know you are speaking to us. Soar now with no pain

To my mother in law Fran I thank you for all our help and things you helped me with. First thank you for your daughter Patricia. You gave me the money for an engine for my 1970 Mustang. Thank you for the down payment on our new mobile home (trailer). You never asked for your money back. I guess you trusted me because wherever I wanted to take Patricia you always said yes.
It was more than money. These things made a difference in my life.We have been married for 50 years so far. You are in God’s presence now. May you rest in peace. With gratitude and affection
    Your Son in Law Kenny
