Jeanette M. Jenkins, 85, of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the home of her special granddaughter and caregiver, Angie Jenkins.

The family will receive friends at Salem Church of the Brethren on Monday, December 21 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with the funeral service held at 2 p.m. conducted by Pastor Rick Looman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Jenkins was born March 17, 1930 in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Ellis Clifton Dodson and Nellie Florence Atkins Dodson.

She was a member of Salem Church of the Brethren.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Cletus Jenkins and granddaughter, Becky Jenkins.

Surviving are four daughters, Diane Burgess, Joyce Jenkins, Janet Taylor and Sharon Jenkins, all of Front Royal; one sister, Lucy Catlett of Front Royal; a sister-in-law, Lois Dodson; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Allen Burke, Brandon Burke, Nathan Burke, Matthew Bowler, Larry Rhodes, and Ronald Campbell.

Honorary pallbearer will be Stephen Bowler.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Dr. Bender and his staff at Amherst Family Practice, Virginia Brain and Spine and staff, Brain Lapp, and her church family and friends.
