Mary Katherine Sours Campbell, 65, of Front Royal, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at INOVA Fairfax.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville.

Mrs. Campbell was born October 31, 1950, in Front Royal, daughter of the late Gregory Nelson and Anna Mae Stoneberger Sours. She was a devoted homemaker and was married to the late Elmer Lee Campbell, Jr.

She is survived by three sons Ronald L. Campbell, Jason “Jake” Campbell, and David C. Burke, all of Front Royal; three daughters Loretta Lynn Embrey, Cynthia Marshall, and Liz Rogers and her husband Gevan all of Front Royal; two sisters Shirley Thompson and Geraldine Burner both of Front Royal; 24 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son Randy Campbell; two brothers Robert “Budeye” Sours and Gerald Sours; and two sisters Barbara Jean Markley and Betty Mae Kuser.

Pallbearers will be Jody Ruffner, Jim Riley, Ronald Campbell, Jr., Mark Jeffries, Mike Lafollette, and Aaron Cameron.

The family would like to say a special thank you to her devoted caregiver Tiffany Foster.

The family will receive friends on Saturday two hours prior to the service at Maddox Funeral Home.
