Nancy Marie Wood, 72, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Wood was born on June 11, 1943 to the late Hencil and Lois Dodson. She was born in Sperryville, Virginia and has been a lifetime resident of this area.

Mrs. Wood was a Teacher’s Aide for Warren County Public Schools and volunteered at Winchester Medical Center and was a member of Marlow Heights Baptist Church, Front Royal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Wood.

Survivors include her daughter, Janice L. Wood; brother, Frank Dodson; five sisters, Margaret Strickler, Juanita Cather, Alice Partlowe (Ray), Frances Brown (Henley) and Vicki Michael (Joe) all of Front Royal.

A Graveside service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, Virginia at 2:00 PM.
