Phillip “Ray” Yowell, 73, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 in the comfort of his home.
A funeral service will take place at 10 A.M. on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main Street, Front Royal. The family will receive guests from 6-9 P.M. on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at the funeral home. Following all services, the burial will take place at Carter Family Cemetery.
Phil was born on November 6, 1951 in Marshall, Virginia to the late Phillip M. and Maxine Gray Yowell. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret “Marge” Louise Yowell, and Mickey Allen Yowell.
Surviving Phil is his loving wife of 28 years, Frances Mildred Yowell; his daughters, Chris Jacklin of Clovis, New Mexico, and Heather Trujillo of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his sons, Mike Yowell of Pinellas Park, Florida, and Mark Yowell of Bathalto, Illinois; his grandchildren, Avary, Marisa, Jay, Devon, Austin, Travis, Cameron, Mercedies, and Justin; his great-grandchildren, Noah, Mosses, and Presley Ann; his devoted niece, Gloria; his devoted neighbor and friend, Eddie; and nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Phil was a veteran for the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years as a Production Control Technician. He also retired from Boeing after working for many dedicated years. Phil loved watching the New York Yankees, the Washington Redskins, and WWE Wrestling. He was a devoted husband and son.
