Kitty Lou Shell, 83, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Winchester, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Kitty was born December 23, 1941 in Star Tannery, Virginia, daughter of the late Wilbur and Mable Orndorff Copeland.

She retired after many dedicated years from Martins in Stephens City.

Kitty was married to the late Ripley L. Shell.

Surviving are two sons, Gordon R. Shell and wife Hilda of Front Royal and Monty R. Shell and wife Debbie of Ohio; two daughters, Tammy Shell Henry and fiancé Michael Santmyers of Middletown and Brenda Meadows of Front Royal; two sisters, Patricia Savage and Cynthia Jennings; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
