Melissa Inez Turner, 60, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A Home Going service will be held on Saturday, November 1 at 12:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Rev. David Clanagan officiating. Interment will follow in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Flint Hill.
Melissa was born October 5, 1965 in Front Royal, Virginia, daughter of Rose M. Turner of Front Royal and the late Haywood L. Turner.
She was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Surviving with her mother are two sons, Marcus Turner and wife Vanessa of Front Royal and Zackary Diggs of Front Royal; two brothers, John Turner of Front Royal and Chris Turner of Marshall; and one grandson, Marcus William Turner, Jr.
Melissa was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Cecil Turner.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Porter, Dontreal Arrington, Daion Spriggs, Kevin Soto, Warren Veney and Elijah Cabness.
Honorary pallbearers will Johnathan Turner, Jeff Haley, Chevron Harris and Roland Harris Jr.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, November 1.
Lisa was a kind gentle hearted soul. I shared many good times with her and her family. im lost for words. She will always be remembered . May she rest in heavenly peace.
