Edward E. Deavers, 79, of Front Royal, VA died on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in Woodstock, VA.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 5, at 1:00 p.m. at Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester.

Mr. Deavers was born January 4, 1937 in Rileyville, VA, son of the late Paul Irvin Deavers and Nellie Mae Young Travis. He retired as a construction worker.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years Anna Deavers of Front Royal; three children Deborah Cornwell and husband George “Dickey” Cornwell of Strasburg, Paul Deavers and James “Ricky” Deavers both of Front Royal; step-daughter Sheila Haun of Flint Hill; four grandsons; two granddaughters; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son David Deavers; step-son Terry Fritts, Jr.; and step-daughter Tammy Ricketts.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 4, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.
