John Michael Stapleton, 60, of Front Royal, VA, beloved son of Don and Jan Gibbin, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 14, at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church conducted by Rev. Deborah Rutter. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Mike was born February 28, 1955 in Alexandria, VA son of the late Wallace Lee Stapleton and Jan Gibbin of Front Royal.

Surviving along with his mother and step-father are his siblings and their spouses Scott Stapleton (Ana Carolina) of Linden, Kimberly Oskin (Richard) of Annandale, VA, Todd Stapleton (Cherle) of Kitty Hawk, NC, and Sheridan Keck (Fred) of Fredericksburg, VA;one uncle Mickey Hyder (Melinda) of Clermont, GA. and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother Stephen Stapleton.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter or a charity of your choice.
