Carl Gene Rowland, 60, of Bentonville, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Beth Glass. The family will receive friends following the service until 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Rowland was born January 4, 1956 in Arlington, VA, son of the late Robert Gene Rowland and Betty Lois Bunch Huber. He retired as a plumber.

Surviving are his life partner Joyce Easter; one daughter Michele Kornicker of Pottstown, PA; two brothers Robert Dean Rowland and wife Debbie of Manassas, VA and James Lee Rowland of Casselberry, FL; one sister Sherrie Jeanette VanBuren and husband Mark of Bealeton, VA; and one grandson Chase Greenwalt. Along with his parents, Mr. Rowland was preceded in death by his brother David Kyle Rowland.
