Angus E. “Teeny” Mauck, 90, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016, at home along the beautiful Shenandoah River in Bentonville.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell, officiating. Interment will follow in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Teeny was born on December 23, 1923, in Bentonville, VA, the only son of Estern K. and Elva Williams Mauck.
Teeny married his childhood sweetheart Frances Cullers on November 2, 1974. She preceded him in death on August 23, 2014.
Teeny was a lifelong farmer, taking over the responsibilities of the family farm at an early age due to the death of his father. He worked for Alton Mathews until his retirement. He often said he like to know how many miles he had walked while farming.
Teeny is survived by his sisters Eloise Mauck and Beatrice Shofner both of Front Royal; brother-in-law Vernon Cullers of Bentonville; nephew Steven Cullers and wife Cheryl with whom he resided; great-nephew David Cullers; great-niece Emily Cullers Walton and husband Robbie; great-great-nephews Liam and Nolan Walton whom he loved greatly and all reside in Bentonville.
Teeny was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his sister Geraldine Mauck Pomeroy; brother-in-law Lyle Pomeroy; and sister-in-law Louise Cullers.
Pallbearers will be David L. Cullers, Robbie Walton, Bryan Chrisman, David Marchi, Robert Hupman, Bernie Miller.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ira Fristoe, Norman Alger, Liam G. Walton, Nolan D. Walton, Charlotte Mauck, Anne Guy, Willie Leggett, Jacqueline Leggitt, and Roger Chrisman.
