Carol Ann Martin, 73, of Arlington, VA, passed away on August 17, 2016 in Warren County.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Carol was born December 6, 1942 in Washington, D.C. daughter of the late Thomas Gilhooley and Virginia Lee Martin Blackford. She worked as an administrative assistant to the CEO of ESI, and international project management consulting firm. Carol loved singing, dancing and listening to all types of music. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and she enjoyed putting a smile on everyone’s face and truly enjoyed every aspect of life.

Surviving are one sister Sharon L. Coyle and husband John; three nieces Karen Collins and husband Steve, Suzanne Coyle, and Pam Coyle and boyfriend Mark; nephew-in-law Rodney Wood; great nieces and nephews Bridgette, Hannah, Jesse, Stephen, and Emma; special friends Robert and Tom; and many other close family and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother Allan Blackford; and a niece Jennifer Wood.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
