Dr. Rosanne “Roe” F. Hirsch, 61, died peacefully at her home in Front Royal, Virginia on November 4, 2016.

Born and raised in New Orleans, she received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from LSU in 1980. For the past eleven years she worked at Animal Medical Center in Stephens City, Virginia. She was a secular Carmelite for 16 years in Washington, DC, a volunteer veterinarian at The Humane Society of Warren County for five years.

Roe is survived by her twin sister, Dr. Sue Hirsch, DVM, sister, Reverend Diane Hirsch of Front Royal, nephews Sam Hirsch of Albany, Louisiana, Paul Hirsch of Littleton, Colorado, four great nephews and one great niece.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday November 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Front Royal. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Humane Society of Warren County 1245 Progress Drive Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
