Charles “Charlie” Bailey Campbell

Charles “Charlie” Bailey Campbell, 76, of Browntown, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016, in his home.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Charles was born on May 22, 1940, in Browntown, son of the late Henry Silmon Campbell and Mazie Elizabeth Willingham Campbell. He worked many years at Campbell Citgo in Front Royal and then worked for the Warren County Sheriff’s office as a jailor until his retirement. Charles was a member of South Warren Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Front Royal Moose Lodge #829.

Surviving are two daughters Kellie Campbell and Joel and Roxanne Campbell and Barry all of Browntown; three brothers Ernest B. “Buster” Campbell and wife Judy, Donald R. “Billy” Campbell and wife Johanna, and Andrew J. “Doodle” Campbell and wife Ruth all of Front Royal; two sisters Lois C. Baker and husband Orvile of Browntown and Retha C. Smith and husband James of Front Royal; one grandson Charles Cochran; and three great-granddaughters Halea, Brianna, and Destiny. He was preceded in death by a daughter Stacy Campbell.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.
