Faye Curtis, 76, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2017 with her dog, Lucy by her side.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Shenandoah Memorial Park at 2:00 PM.
Faye was born on July 30, 1940 in Takoma Park, Maryland to the late Francis Curtis and Frances Marshall Curtis and grew up in Washington, DC. Her life in DC included working as a soda jerk in Union Station when she was 14 and driving a motor scooter through the city while in her twenties. She enjoyed driving several different vehicles, a TR3, 49 Ford, VW Bus and Bugs. Through her life she worked many different jobs including Central Charge, the postal service in Springfield, Merrifield and Winchester and at UPS. Faye took pride in her creativity and was a perfectionist. She enjoyed creating wood crafts, do it yourself projects on her house and yard, camping at Assateague, slot machines, TV and Chinese food. She had a love of photography and creating greeting cards by using her computer skills. She greatly loved her pets, especially Little Bear and Lucy.
Faye was an adventurous, brave and gutsy lady. She had a very generous spirit, but would not suffer fools easily.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Muldoon.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Warren County, 1245 Progress Dr. Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
