Linda Sue Derflinger Smith, 66, of Luray, formerly of Front Royal, died Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Hawksbill Assisted Living in Luray.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Samuel Campbell. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born September 24, 1950, in Front Royal, daughter of the late Harland and Polly Derflinger. She was a retired nursing assistant at Shawnee Springs Nursing Home in Winchester and once worked for Sears Roebuck in Front Royal.

Surviving are a sister Mrs. Barbara Tribble of Mechanicsville and a son David Stover.
