Wesley Wayne Eshelman, 84, of Front Royal, passed away at Warren Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, May 31, 2017.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice Magalis Eshelman and two sons, Mark Wayne Eshelman and John Wesley Eshelman, both of Front Royal. Wayne was the last of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harrison Eshelman, S. Compton Eshelman, Stuart Eshelman and a sister Virginia Snyder. Surviving also are three grandchildren, Amanda “Mandy” Eshelman, Ryan Wesley Eshelman, and Sarah Michelle Massey. Three great grandchildren are Madison Ennis, Kiersten Massey, and Mason Einhorn.
Wayne was born July 20, 1932, son of Charles R. “Bud” Eshelman and Nellie Margaret Totten. He was involved in farming with his family and he spent 15 years working for Riddleberger and Carter fuel. In 1966 he and his friend William S. Royston went to Superior Auction School in Decatur, IL, after which, they established Shen Valley Auction Company and subsequently evolved into Shen-Valley Flea Market at Double Tollgate.
A visitation for friends and family will be held at Maddox Funeral Home on Saturday, June 03, 2017 at 10 AM followed by a service at 11 AM and burial at Prospect Hill Cemetery to follow immediately afterwards. Friends and family will be invited after the service to Bennett’s Chapel United Methodist Church for a time of fellowship.
