James Franklin “Jimmy” Vannoy, 82, of Front Royal, VA, died on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 12 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, VA conducted by Pastor Henry Stanley. Burial will be held at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas, VA at 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Vannoy was born December 7, 1934 in North Wilkesboro, NC, son of the late James Arlie Vannoy and Rosetta Holloway Vannoy. He was in the construction business in the Northern Virginia area for many years.

Surviving are his wife Miriam J. Vannoy; three children George Franklin Vannoy and wife Patricia Donita Vannoy of Manassas, Richard Lee Vannoy of Seattle,Washington and Brenda Jean Mitchell of Manassas; two step-sons Wesley Rowland and Maurice Rowland; sisters Betty Jane McCall and husband George of Manassas, Alice Sue Proffitt and husband George of Manassas, Rosa Lee Cox and husband Roger of Warrenton, Linda Catherine Davidson and husband Billy of Manassas, and Patricia Ann Brooks and husband Timothy of Manassas; brothers Larry Vannoy and wife Betty of Bristow and Michael Eugene Vannoy and wife Nancy of Manassas; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
