Betty Lee Breeden Taylor, 87, of Warren County, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2017, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30, at 1:30 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester.

Mrs. Taylor was born on July 21, 1929, in Petersburg, WV, daughter of the late Paul Leon Shoff and Grace Holloway Shoff. She was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and the Women of the Moose.

Surviving are three sons Ernie Breeden and his fiancé Tammy Bolden of Warren County, Kenneth Allen Breeden of Warren County, and Jerry Carlton Breeden of Front Royal; one daughter Sharon Tharpe and husband Tommy of Browntown; one sister Patricia Ellis and husband Donald of Virginia Beach; three grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by a son Paul Leon “Buzzy” Breeden and daughter-in-law Dara Breeden.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Hammack, Michael Wright, Tommy Tharpe, Jr., Tommy Tharpe, III, Joshua Roop, and Donnie Roop.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
