Mr. Wright was born May 13, 1944 in Fairmont, WV, son of the late Lester and Anna Stotler Wright. He was a retired educator in Warren County, Virginia. He worked for 37 years as an administrator and as a teacher. He loved all his former students and would get so excited when he would run into one around town. He always made time for everyone. In 37 years he made some wonderful friendships with his coworkers. He was notorious for his shenanigans. He always wanted to make people smile and laugh. Very few people knew of the wonderful things he did for others and the community he called home. He was a man that would give you the shirt off his back. He never needed a thank you and never wanted attention for his good deeds. He gave to numerous charities and volunteered for St. Luke Community Clinic, Warren Heritage Society and Parks and Rec Golf Club Board.
Surviving are his wife Phyllis Wright of Front Royal, VA; two daughters Susan Elizabeth Pomenta and husband Rick of San Antonio, TX and Jill Alicie and husband Jason of Front Royal; one sister Amanda Shabatura and her husband John of Pittsburgh, PA; and three grandchildren Dorie Ann Walters, Katie Alicie and Meghan Alicie. Not only his family but so many friends, coworkers, co volunteers, and former students will miss him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke Community Clinic. (316 North Royal Ave., Front Royal Va 22630 or 540-636- 4325.)He was a dedicated volunteer with the Clinic and was so proud of the service they provide for our community.

My heart aches for the loss of Mr. Wright. He was such an amazing teacher and actually one of my very favorites at WCHS. He will be missed and he has certainly touched the lives of everyine he has ever taught!
