A beautiful angel has been called home. Alma Belle Talbott, 102, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2017 peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by her loving daughter Mable Dacheux and her husband Jerry whom cared for her the past 15 years.
She was born July 27, 1915 in Lockland, Ohio to the late Samuel and Celestia Baker Gooch. She was a longtime resident of Front Royal, Virginia where she attended the First Assembly of God and later attended the Rock Church of Virginia Beach. She was a devoted loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her faith and love of the Lord throughout her life was never-ending. She loved her flowers and cards she received, going for rides taking in the scenery, and feeding the ducks.
She is preceded in death by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Blesson Talbott, whom she raised 8 children with, mother to the late Charles Leonard Talbott and grandmother to the late Donald Wayne Williams and Charles Scott Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are her 7 daughters, Betty Williams, Eleanor Butler, Barbara Ramey, Gloria “Jeannie” Williams, Brenda Barton, Mable Dacheux, and Nancy Deneen; sons in law Kenneth Butler Sr., Jerry Dacheux, and Phillip Deneen; 34 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday November 1, 2017 at Maddox Funeral Home 105 W Main St. Front Royal, Virginia 22630 from 6-8pm. A going home service will be held Thursday November 2, 2017 at First Assembly of God, 1111 N. Shenandoah Ave., Front Royal, Virginia 22630 at 11am. Burial will take place afterwards at Prospect Hill Cemetery, 200 W. Prospect St., Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
