Hattie Catherine “Tiny” Brinklow, 80, of Warren County, passed away peacefully into heaven on Monday, March 19, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s home in Strasburg.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby and Pastor Diann Whetzel. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Tiny was born January 12, 1938 in Front Royal, daughter of the late Leo Rhodes and Thelma Gertrude Walker Rhodes. She was co-owner of Brinklow’s Trailer Court, attended Front Royal Church of the Brethren and was a past member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #1194 in Front Royal. She enjoyed working in the garden and loved her flowers. Tiny was married to the late James E. Brinklow.
Surviving are four sons Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Bennett of Front Royal, Roger Wayne “Buddy” Pomeroy and wife Susie of WV, Ricky A. Bennett and wife Stacey of Front Royal, and Rodney E. Brinklow and fiancée Kristy Durham; two daughters Debra Sue Rosenberry and husband Rocky of Strasburg and Patricia Ann Baugher and husband Melvin of Front Royal; two step-sons James V. Brinklow and Jack A. Miller both of Front Royal; three sisters Margaret Fox, Charlotte Smith and Greta Furr of Front Royal; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Tiny was preceded in death along with her parents and husband by a brother Leo “Sonny Boy” Rhodes; two sisters Ruth Pomeroy and Gladys Lantzer; step-son Eddie Brinklow; and step-daughter Linda Brinklow.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bennett, Ricky Bennett, Kelvin Jordan, Nicholas Jordan, Michael Ramey and Joey Rhodes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Rutherford, Jerry Williams and Tony Shifflett.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
