Louise Morrison, 88, of Bentonville, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal, Virginia.
Mrs. Morrison was born on February 13, 1930 in Bentonville, the youngest child of the late French Davis Williamson and Eunice E. Cook Williamson. Louise spent her entire life in Bentonville.
On February 13, 1949 she married William O. “Bill” Morrison, the love of her life. They were married for sixty years when he passed away on October 7, 2009.
In March of 2015 she moved to Hidden Springs Senior Living and was cared for by the loving and caring staff there.
Survivors include her son, William Clay Morrison (Wanda) of Front Royal; three daughters, June Long (Brent) of Waynesboro, Virginia, Juanita Carroll (Bernard) of Bealeton, Virginia and Linda Fuller (John) of Bentonville; foster sister, Marie Sizemore of Culpeper, Virginia; six grandchildren, Diana Orye (Donald), Laura Siers (Donnie), Jonathan Blakely (Renee), Kyle Phillips (Margot), Brandon Long (Meryn) and Emily Glass (Adrian); six step grandchildren, Autumn Fuller, Joshua Fuller, Gregory Carroll (Leah), Katlyn Carroll, Ashley Bate (Chris) and Amanda Grady; nine great grandchildren, Jeremy Orye, Brianna Orye, Ryder Blakely, Ella Blakely, Dalton Siers, Shyann Siers, Mckinley Glass, Maci Glass and Adelyn Long; five step great grandchildren, Savanna Carroll, Andrew Grady, Austin Grady, Alyssa Grady and Christopher Bate and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and her parents she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Daisy Mauck, Vivian Oden, Avis Updike, Leonard Williamson, Elizabeth Printz, Cook Williamson and French Williamson, two nieces and two nephews.
Mrs. Morrison was devoted to her husband, her children, all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, her church and her community.
Mrs. Morrison was a member of Bentonville Baptist Church from a young age, where she sang in the choir, taught bible school and served on the baptismal committee. She was a charter member of South Warren Volunteer Fire Department, served as historian, on the sunshine committee and was there for all the fundraising activities.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 14. 2018 at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W. Main Street, Front Royal with Rev. Dr. C. Wayne Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
