Naomi Ruth Wilhour White, 91, of Front Royal, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 5, 2015.

Born on October 29, 1923, in Stonington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Floyd Wilhour and Ruth Lauver Wilhour.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Downing White; a daughter Bonnie White Hurley and husband Terence of Linden, VA; two sisters Dorkus Burns of Florissant, MO and Jean Schreffer of Sunbury, PA; four grandchildren, Natasha R. Roberts, Megan L. Setzer, John W. Schick, III, and Stacey F. Rouse; and seven great-grandchildren, Kayla, Ashley, and Ayden Roberts, Ian and Caleb Setzer, and Colin and Sophie Rouse..

A daughter, Karen White Farris and husband, John preceded her in death as well as siblings Richard Wilhour, Lois Dollman, and Leah Schrengast.

Naomi was a graduate of Protestant Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia.  She received her degree in nursing in 1945. She was a nurse at Warren Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. After retiring, she continued her love of nursing by volunteering as a Patient Representative at Warren Memorial. She also volunteered for C-CAP.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal, VA.
