Edith Leanore Hammond, 84, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.

A celebration of life will be held on January 12, 2020 at 2 PM at 85 Shenandoah River Lane, Front Royal.

Mrs. Hammond was born on March 30, 1935 in Fairbanks, Alaska to the late Charles and Edith Handy Weeks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hammond; stepson, Wayne Hammond and sister, Virginia Weeks.

Survivors include her son, Charles Brian Settle (Dale) of Front Royal; step daughter, Cheryl Tucker of Bushnell, Florida; two sisters, Roberta Putnam and Wendy Harris both of Florida; granddaughter, Catrina Bowman (Shawn) of Front Royal and two great granddaughters, Nettie Bowman and Haley Settle both of Front Royal.
