Bobby Len “Babs” Jenkins

Bobby Len “Babs” Jenkins, 67, of Browntown, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 as his home after a long courageous battle of cancer.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Steve Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.

Bobby was born October 23, 1953, in Warren County, Virginia son of the late Forrest Richard and Keren Elizabeth Henry Jenkins. He was a Warren County graduate of the Class of 1972. He was well known as an avid tree climber and loved the outdoors, especially working in his garden. Bobby’s last place of employment was at Steele Construction where he was well known and a loved member of the company.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 40 years Brucie “Peanut” Jenkins; one loving daughter Stephanie Harmon and son in law Jesse Harmon, Jr. of Shenandoah Farms; three grandchildren whom he dearly loved and helped raise Gillian Jenkins (Ryan), Angel Jenkins and Landen Jenkins; four brothers Forrest Jenkins, Jr. (Connie) of Bentonville, Tommy Jenkins (Cindy) of Front Royal, Jerry Jenkins (April) of Front Royal and Dwayne Jenkins (Trish) of Front Royal; four sisters Carolyn Willingham (Gene) of Front Royal, Patsy Pennington (Denny) of Browntown, Deloris Williams (Arnold) of Bentonville and Peggy Lou High (James) of Front Royal; special uncle Orville Henry of Bentonville; numerous nieces; numerous nephews; and many friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers Delbert Jenkins, Sr. and Clyde Burkhart, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Hopper Steele, Greg Willingham, Louie Cameron, T.J. Jenkins, Jr. Richards, Jesse Harmon, Jr. and Landen Jenkins; honorary pallbearers B. J. Jenkins, Lee Pearson, Ricky Runyon, Lori Smoot, Terry Jenkins and Brian Harner.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3 at the funeral home.
