Monica Yvette Washington, 62, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal with the Rev. Dr. Clarence Williams officiating.
Mrs. Washington was born on March 15, 1958 in Winchester, Virginia to the late Owen and Vivian Tutt Washington. She was a graduate of Warren County High School Class of 1976 and attended Shenandoah University. She retired from the United States Army after 25 years of service. Monica worked in real estate for years. She worked with both Coldwell Banker and Weichert Realtors.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Person Jr.; three daughters, Briklin Stoffa, Tia Thomas and Dionne Person; son, Zachary Person and eleven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Monica was a very nice person and while we lost track of each other over the years I will always remember her smile and upbeat personality. Gone way too soon RIP. Prayers for the family.
We were so very sorry to hear this. Monica served our country, she had a wonderful family. Monica went through so many battles in her life and had one of the best smiles ever. She will be missed.
