Maria Filomena Codella, 85, of Huntly, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 14, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her home town of Palma Campania, Naples, Italy at a later date.

Mrs. Codella was born November 25, 1929, in Palma Campania, Italy daughter of the late Antonio Miranda and Teresa Saviano. She was the wife of the late Giuseppe Codella.

Surviving are her daughter Filomena Fernandez of Huntly; one brother Antonio Miranda; three grandsons Brian Anthony Fernandez, Steven Joseph Fernandez, and Kevin Eric Fernandez; one nephew Domenico Codella; and a godson Alfonso Ciervo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 1833 Plaza Dr., Winchester, VA 22601.
