Eugene Clarence Brummitt, Jr. “Gene, Junior” passed away on December 7, 2021 peacefully in his sleep.

Preceded in death by his wife Emily Jeanette Brummitt and his parents Eugene Clarence Brummitt, Sr and Geneva Bummitt Hicks.

He is survived by his daughter Angie (Wayne) his son Glenn (Carol), his brother Danny and stepbrothers Danny, Jerry and David. Nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

Eugene was born March 4, 1944 in Wise, Va.  He joined the Marine Core in 1961 and went on to do two tours of duty in Vietnam.  He was injured during his second tour of duty and was honrable discharged from the Marine Core.

After the Military he worked as a truck driver for RC Cola for many years.  He finished his working days with Sunrise Laboraties.

Eugene was a huge Elvis fan and loved all 50s music.  He loved watching old westerns and any types of sports with football being his favorite.  He was an avid Washington Redskins and Washington Nationals fan.  He loved living in the mountains and taking long drives with Emily while listening to their favorite music.

Visitors will be accepted at a memorial on March 26, 2022 at 2:00 in the afternoon at Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, VA

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Human Society of Warren County in honor of Eugene and Emily’s love of cats.
