Ray Moreau

Our beloved Ray Moreau passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at 10:45 pm on March 2, 2022. Ray eventually lost his battle with cancer after fighting for two long years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Donna J. Moreau; his caring son/nephew, Matthew Nelson; his mother, Jane Moreau, father (deceased), Raymond Joseph Moreau; aunt, Janet Malozi; sister, Theresa Fairbanks (Ray); nephew, Keith Noble (Annie); great-nieces, Kayla and Alana; uncle, Ray Sicotte; cousin, Brad; cousin, Charlie; cousin, Brenda; mother-in-law, Barbara Nelson; sister-in-law, Patty Nelson; brother-in-law, Greg Nelson (Tammie); nieces, Samantha and Sabrina; Rays dearest friends, Cory Shepherd, Bill Seeto, Jeff Kallal, Cheryl Soderstrom and Gaelan Harvey. He had so many more to list!

Ray was loved by his family, friends, and coworkers. He was a very dedicated employee and admired all of his colleagues. He did anything and everything for those he loved. He enjoyed long rides with friends on his motorcycle and even ended up naming it Betsy. Oftentimes, Ray would spend weekends meeting up with his friends for barbecue or coffee.

You will truly be missed and loved, sweetheart. I love you so much my sweet husband. Forever in our hearts!

I want to personally thank everyone for the love and support that you have shown our family which helped us persevere through Ray’s struggle with cancer. To honor Ray’s memory, we are holding a private ceremony to celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family at the private ceremony for family, friends, and colleagues. Location, date, and time will be sent to family, friends, and colleagues.

Donna, we miss Ray already and our hearts are broken with yours! He was such an amazing and loving husband to you, father to Matthew, and brother-in-law to us. Not to mention the most fun Uncle to our girls. We will never forget his sense of humor and contagious laugh! What we’ll miss most though, is his huge heart! We are praying for peace and comfort as you and Matthew cope with such a searing loss.

Ray was a unique individual who was always willing to lend hand. It was an honor and privilege to work with both father and son. Both have gone from us too early and are sorely missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Moreau family.

Ray was one of the kindest, most welcoming and warm-hearted person I’ve known. I’ll always remember his contagious smile. We are all better and richer for knowing Ray.

Missing you Ray. We had some good times back in Chantilly drinking venti cappuccinos and working for EDS. Rest in Peace, my friend. Gone much too soon…

Prayers for strength, comfort and peace for the family and friends of Ray. Even though I didn’t interact with him frequently at work, he was always very nice, knowledgable and helpful, which I very much appreciated. God bless him and the family.

Our sincerest condolences for Ray’s family at this time. The Moreau/Nelson family made such an impact on the expanded community here in Dominion Valley. Every where they go leave behind those who are better for having known them. Wishing you peace and courage during this difficult time.

Although we will all miss Ray, imagine him being pain-free and celebrating in Heaven right now. I’m sure that gives you joy. Much love to you and Matthew during these difficult times.
