I am heartbroken about learning of Tim Selfridge’s passing. He was a joy to work with as a colleague and knew how much he loved his wife and grandchildren. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his family.
I failed to mention in my previous post how incredibly proud Tim was of his son, Jeremey. He took such pride in watching Jeremey grow as a man, husband and father over the years. Family meant everything to Tim.
Lynn, Jeremey, and family,
I am truly sorry for your loss. Tim was a man of conviction, passion, and compassion. I’ve had the privilege to work with Tim for over a decade and most recently, directly reported to him. He was a friend, colleague, and mentor and he will be truly missed in my life and the many others he’s touched both here at work and home.

I first met Tim back in 2009 or 2010. Some time around 2012 I crafted a special award for him – a mace on an oak plaque – for his inspiring leadership in the “battle” against bureaucracy and red tape. I know he proudly displayed it in his office. He was always someone who went above and beyond, and he got things done that others would call impossible. He built and led an awesome team of professionals that did some very important national security work, and we are all safer tonight because of the work he did. He was a great friend.

It never ceased to amaze me that Tim responded to every request for mentorship with “I will make time”. Thank you for sharing your husband, father, and grandfather with the hundreds of us who were shaped by Tim’s leadership. We will continue to share our stories and fond memories of Tim to honor his legacy. My blessings to your family through this time of loss.
To the family of Tim,
I had the pleasure to support Tim for over 10 years. He was a consummate professional, a wonderful leader but most importantly a good friend and mentor. He absolutely loved to talk about his family. I will miss him, that infectious smile and will cherish the time I had with him. He will be in my heart forever.
My deepest sympathy to the Selfridge family
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Tim. I had the honor to work with him for 11 years. Once you earned his trust he was fiercely loyal. Through good and bad times, he always had a twinkle in his eyes and a sly smile to laugh it off. He was one of my favorite people to work with. My deepest sympathies to his family.
Tim Selfridge’s integrity, passion for the mission, and ability to lead is, and will always be legendary. He said what he felt, and he did what he said he would do – without fail. Tim has had a profoundly positive impact on the nation’s security and will be deeply missed by all.
I knew Tim in high school but lost touch when I joined the Army anyone know if Tim grew up in the State college Pine grove mills PA area? RIP TIM
Tim Selfridge was an amazing leader with uncompromising commitment and dedication to the customer’s national security mission. He was and will remain an inspiration to those of us who worked with him. While he mostly kept his family life private, the great love for and pride he took in his family was always there. I will miss him greatly and offer you my deepest sympathy for his untimely loss.
Tim was an amazing human being, and a man who was honest and dedicated to the core. I had the great pleasure of supporting him and being supported by him and am truly a better person for knowing him. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family.
