Robert Emil Johnsen, 74, of Front Royal passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015, in the INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4th, at 10:00 a.m. at Panorama Memorial Gardens in Waterlick with military honors.

Mr. Johnsen was born October 5, 1940, in Jersey City, New Jersey, son of the late John and Ruth Matthews Johnsen. He was a retired real estate agent.

He was a U. S. Air Force veteran. He lived in Front Royal where his parents Ruth and John Johnsen lived, but spent the springtime and summer in Ocean City, New Jersey. He loved bluegrass music, biking, kids, dogs, Christmas, and especially his daughter Jaki. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his daughter Jaki Johnsen of New York City; his sisters Evine Eriksson of Front Royal and Ruthann Andrews of Keyser, West Virginia; his brother John Hawken Johnsen of North Carolina; and three very special women Marianne Johnsen, Barbara Samuels, and Priscilla Schoenly.
